"Will you debate my non-Catholic friend who rejects the Church?"

Sorry, but we are not able to do this. It has been our experience that the best way for us to deal with strangers who reject the Church may be to simply offer them the information as courteously as possible and then pray & leave it in God's hands. Those of us here do not care to engage in disputes with unknown persons who reject the Church. Disputes like this might only create bad feelings and may not be likely to change the other person's mind. Plus it can be difficult to know how to approach apologetics if we do not know the person at all. We are happy both to try to point interested parties to relevant resources on the site and to try to answer questions to the best of our ability (when we are able), but we do not wish to engage in back and forth arguments with non-Catholics.

We invite you to view the material in the Non-Catholics Section here in case it might be of assistance in discussions with your friend. Even though the section is geared towards non-Catholics, it can still be quite useful for Catholics. It contains a defense of various Catholic beliefs, plus there are also biblical references, challenges, etc. Perhaps your friend will be more receptive to the information when it comes from you.

Finally, we'd remind that if a non-Catholic is resistant to the truth, it may not be possible to convince them with words, no matter much evidence may be available to support it. In any event, prayer is very important.
