"What is the protocol
for having a Mass said and published in the bulletin? Is there an appropriate
stipend and how do we find out how long before our requested Masses will be
said?"

If you are requesting
a Masses at your parish, I would call the parish office and find out the
procedure, as well as the amount of the stipend and the time it will take. The
stipend may vary, but I'd figure the stipend for each would probably be
somewhere between $10-$20 (IMHO, $10 may be fairly common). Masses may sometimes
take months. It really just depends on your parish. BTW, I am assuming you are
not referring to funeral Masses, Gregorian Masses, nuptial Masses, etc. as those
usually would have a higher stipend and also the schedule would be different
(e.g. more immediate for a funeral, perhaps longer for a wedding or for
Gregorian Masses).
You can also request
Masses online from various communities, but these would not typically be
published in parish bulletins, so I assume you do not mean online Mass requests.
