I'm afraid we wouldn't be able to provide assurance regarding authenticity of alleged phenomena like you describe. We are just laypersons and these types of matters must be investigated by the Church. It does strike me as rather odd that such a video would be released to the public (presumably) with permission of a priest who performs exorcisms. This fact alone would lead me to suspect it was not genuine. Good priests who perform exorcisms would typically *not* be prone to sensationalism, IMHO. Other concerns include...

* Apparently the "apparition" in the video has no mention of Church approval or I'm guessing you wouldn't have written to us. Doesn't it seem rather unusual for someone involved in an exorcism to propagate an alleged "apparition" from an exorcism without approval from the Church?

* I'm not certain that videotaping is very common in exorcisms. I have read several books on them and this does not seem to be typical. I can't guarantee it's not, but only that I have not heard that it is common.

* The devil is a liar and could easily impersonate holy persons. Just imagine how much our prideful mortal enemy would like for persons to venerate him as if he was a holy person!

* Videos are easily doctored nowadays and it can be difficult for amateurs to tell if this has occurred or not.

I would also question why it was released, if the person involved gave their permission for its release, why the exorcism was recorded in the first place, who recorded it, who specifically is propagating the video, who the exorcist is, whether or not the exorcist typically allows exorcisms to be recorded, etc. Personally, I would not consider it authentic without unqualified approval from proper authorities in the Church (and even then there is no guarantee of authenticity).
