"Is dislike of the
'sign of peace' and hand-holding at the Lord's Prayer cause to avoid Mass?"

No. We are not excused
from attending
Mass because of such practices. Attending Mass is a grave obligation.
If possible, you may
find it best to avoid the distracting/uncomfortable 'sign of peace' and
hand-holding at the Our Father by attending the
Traditional Latin Mass. [Note: It is
still possible – thanks be to God! – to lawfully attend the Traditional Latin
Mass throughout the world. The Traditional Latin ('Tridentine') Mass differs
from the 1960's Novus Ordo Mass in many & significant ways (try
here for more information). To locate a
Traditional Latin Mass in your area, try

Otherwise, if you
object to the 'sign of peace' and must attend the
Novus Ordo Mass, you might try
here for
ideas. You might also bring it up with the priest (but, unfortunately, you may
not receive a warm reception).
If you object to
hand-holding at the Our Father (e.g. because you don't care to touch strangers,
because you don't want others grabbing your hands, because you find it
unsanitary or inappropriate, because you feel forced/obliged, because it takes
your focus off the Lord's Prayer, etc.), you might bring this matter up with the
priest (again, regrettably, you may not receive a warm reception). Note that the
practice is NOT obligatory.
