Regarding so-called 'same sex marriage', note that
homosexuals can NEVER be married in the eyes of God, despite any human laws to
the contrary. Catholics should reject sinful 'laws' permitting such abominations
as they are opposed to God's Law and even to nature itself (recall that marriage
is designed for procreation, yet homosexuals can NEVER procreate in same-sex
unions). The sin of
Sodom is one of only a handful of sins that 'cry to heaven'. It is a VERY
SERIOUS sin. [Note: For the American Catholic Lawyers Association, Inc. Press
Release on Obergefell v. Hodges (the Supreme Court case that 'legalized'
homosexual 'marriage' in the U.S.A.), try

In Holy Scripture, God tells us that homosexual acts offend
Him. Scripture calls such acts an abomination (see Lev. 18:22). Scripture also
tells us that those who engage in such acts (and remain unrepentant) will NOT be
allowed into heaven (see 1 Cor. 6:9-10). Scripture also tells us that those who
participated in such acts "serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of
eternal fire" (see Jude 1:7). Scripture also recounts the events of Sodom and
Gomorrah where God destroyed the city in punishment over this "wicked thing"
(see Genesis, chapter 19).
Clearly, those who are
unrepentant of homosexual acts and who have no intention of refraining from them
seriously jeopardize their salvation. That is not to say that homosexuals
cannot be forgiven for their actions. On the contrary,
all sins can
be forgiven – even grave sins involving homosexual acts – but repentance is
necessary.
Those that think/hope God will change His mind on this or
any other matter, are badly mistaken/deceived. Remember that change implies
imperfection – whereas God is perfect and can NEVER change. It is IMPOSSIBLE for
God to change. For more on the unchangeableness of God, try

Regarding 'gay conversion
therapy', we are not qualified to give (or intending to give) medical or psychological advice, but if
there are truly appropriate & effective treatments to reverse the disorder,
might it not be wise to at least consider them? If it is possible to treat a
disorder, why leave it untreated? [Again, we are not qualified to give or
intending to give medical or psychological advice. For such advice, consult a
good doctor(s).]
Reminder: Homosexual actions are
sinful, but an inclination to homosexuality that is not desired or acted upon is
not sinful. Also remember that while we must hate sin, we must simultaneously love
sinners. Do not inflict or wish harm on homosexuals. Rather, pray that they live
a chaste life.
