"I've been watching a
lot of stuff about the end of the world and tribulations and revelations and a
lot of people try to save the Catholic Church and I don't even listen to it but
I was just curious if I should turn it off [it's kinda scary]."

Concerning end times
furor that is so prevalent in some circles nowadays, the best information I
can offer is...
1. People have thought the end times were right around
the corner for 2,000 years. They were all wrong.
2. Do NOT trust anything that is not Catholic, definitely
turn off secular media reporting on religious matters.
3. If something is allegedly Catholic, make sure it dates
back to Apostolic times (at least in its essence).
4. Make sure all sources are credible. (Don't trust the
news!)
5. Be SUPER skeptical of alleged
apparitions/visions (most are false).
6. Don't try to predict the future (efforts to do so may
be
Satanic).
Jesus told us that...
"...of that day and hour no one knoweth: no, not the
angels of heaven, but the Father alone." (Mt. 24:36)
It is simply not for us to know...
"In vain, then do we attempt to compute definitely the
years that may remain to this world, when we may hear from the mouth of Truth
Himself that it is not for us to know this." (St. Augustine,
Doctor of the Church)
7. Get right with
God and don't be fearful. People that are fearful are easily manipulated.
And what really matters is our own personal end date, not the end date of the
world.
