We have quite a few
items that might help in our Non-Catholics Section. It can be found
here.
It contains...
* Challenges for
Non-Catholics
* Biblical References
for Catholic Beliefs
* Questions & Answers
Also, there are some
free fliers that can be printed, including a handy flier with biblical
references and also challenges for non-Catholics (both fliers can be accessed
from the Non-Catholics Section – one link appears on the page
here, the other link appears on the "biblical references" page
here).
Should the person have
difficulty with a particular Catholic doctrine (e.g. Marian, Saints, Holy
Eucharist, etc.), you might want to consider something targeted more
specifically towards that issue (try
here).
In case it helps, we
have some tips for apologists
here that might be helpful in dealing with those outside the Church. It
contains some "do's" and "don'ts". However, it's hard to specifically say what
to do or not do in any given case as there are so many different factors,
personalities, and issues to consider, but these tips might give you something
to think about. Ultimately, of course, it is up to you to decide what's best
(e.g. to speak/explain/question or not to speak/explain/question).
In any event, you are
right about praying – that is always a good idea!
Best wishes to you in
bringing your relative around.
God bless you.
