Question / Issue:

"Both my wife and I were raised as staunch Tridentine Catholics. We have been watching the destruction of the faith we have been raised with, in preference to pleasing the people. The Catholic Church was never broken, and as such, nobody should have tried to fix it."

We agree with your comments about the unfortunate attempts to "fix" the Church. It is painful for us to see what has happened over the years (for some examples, see here). Even though we did not have the wonderful benefit of being raised comprehensively in the 'old ways' (we grew up Catholic in somewhat of a 'transition period'), nevertheless God has granted us the great grace to discover & love Catholic tradition. There are many more like us and it gives us hope to hear of good Catholics out there who are still standing up for what is right. We have found that many who knew the 'old ways' from birth have, unfortunately, turned their back on them, so it is especially heartening to hear from persons who were raised in the 'old ways' and who still cling to them strongly.
