According to the
Baltimore Catechism...
Q. Of which must
we take more care, our soul or our body?
A. We must take
more care of our soul than of our body.
Q. Why must we
take more care of our soul than of our body?
A. We must take
more care of our soul than of our body, because in losing our soul we lose God
and everlasting happiness.
[Note: This does
NOT mean we are not to take care of our bodies. On the contrary, we must take
proper care of our bodies. Recall that "We are commanded by the fifth
Commandment to... take proper care of our own life and health." (Baltimore
Catechism) For medical/health information, consult a good doctor(s).]
