As stated in the
Baltimore Catechism...
Q. Can we receive
the Sacraments more than once?
A. We can receive
the Sacraments more than once, except
Baptism,
Confirmation, and
Holy Orders.
And...
Q. Why can we not
receive Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Orders more than once?
A. We cannot
receive Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Orders more than once, because they
imprint a character in the soul.
Some Notes:
*
Matrimony cannot be entered into again as long as both spouses remain alive.
* Other sacraments (Baptism, for example) cannot be
repeated, but it is possible to receive the sacrament conditionally if there is
some question about the first administration. Technically, however, this is not
a 'repeat' of the sacrament as a sacrament administered conditionally has no
effect if the sacrament was validly received to begin with.
*
Extreme Unction/Anointing of the Sick can be received again during the same
illness (e.g. if one's condition becomes more serious), after a
recovery/relapse, or in the event of another illness.
