Passage from Canon Law that all tradition-minded Catholics should memorize

Can. 214 The Christian faithful have the right to worship God according to the prescripts of their own rite approved by the legitimate pastors of the Church and to follow their own form of spiritual life so long as it is consonant with the doctrine of the Church. Our right is listed right there on the Vatican website.

Latin Mass: Why Attend?

One of the many reasons I only attend the TLM

Here's a quote from a book I recently read concerning Mass, ''Celebrating Mass in a way that makes it resemble a concert or a memorial meal, over time non-verbally and naturally forms such a trivializing perception in those who attend.'' So true. That's one of the many reasons I only attend the Traditional Latin Mass.

No new doctrines

I wish Catholics knew their faith better. I wish they knew that leaders in the Church are OBLIGATED to pass on what's always been taught. No new doctrines are allowed!

The Lord's Prayer

Well, it WAS true that Protestants are the ones who change words of the Lord's prayer, not Catholics. What was Pope Francis thinking by introducing changes to this sacred prayer? Does the pope actually think he has the authority to alter Christ's words??? Are Catholics really so scorched that they accept illegitimate changes to the LORD'S prayer? How can it be Lord's prayer if it is no longer Christ's words?

Latin Mass: Language

don't get discouraged

don't get discouraged if you don't understand the language or everything that is going on at Latin Mass over time you start to recognize things and even understand the prayers and language repetition really helps

Latin Mass: Language

Another reason for Latin

It really hit me the other day how appropriate it is to use Latin at Mass. Mass is the re-presentation of Calvary and the Romans who crucified Jesus would have spoke in Latin. Besides the many other reasons to use Latin, it is also more historically accurate to use Latin at Mass.

Bugnini manipulated the reforms?

I was reading how the memoirs of Fr. Louis Bouyer show that Archbishop Bugnini 'manipulated post-conciliar liturgical reforms'. It is said that Bugnini would 'insist' on changes in the liturgy, claiming the Pope wanted them, but then told the Pope that the committee 'unanimously' wanted the changes. He supposedly 'maneuvered the Pope' into approving of the changes. This is the same Archbishop Bugnini who was supposedly a Freemason.

Vatican II is a distraction

I agree that Vatican II been a huge distraction and a deterrent in the most important job of the Church, the salvation of souls. Countless time & money has been wasted over the past several decades trying to implement the novelties of this Council, yet Catholics today are less educated and souls are worse off. I believe Vatican II has been a disaster that will have eternal consequences for many souls.

Memorize the name - Msgr. Bux

Then memorize this quote - refusal of the "Tridentine" Mass may be considered "a rupture of communion with the Pope" says Msgr. Nicola Bux who is a consultant to the Pope! Something to add to your letterhead or signature line?
